Soon after leaving school, at 17 years of age I worked alongside my father, a senior site manager for a national building company. During those years working with my father I found that I had a passion for wall and floor tiling and decided to follow that path.
Several years on I began working as a self-employed tiler, taking with me all the knowledge and skills I had learned from my father, before long I was given the opportunity to work for a Plymouth based tiling firm and quickly worked up through the ranks until I became a Senior Manager, but after many years being office bound I realised that I missed being hands on, so I decided to return to the manual side of tiling and started P.G Waits Tiling Limited.
I believe the early years working so closely with my father gave me a keen eye and the motivation to succeed in today’s changing world of construction.
